Americans Die

Americans Die

Girls and boys at the movies watching

A man takes action toward infamous heights

He stalks the kids and moves against them

Kids scream and pain and all the time latching

Parents cry, children die

And a nation mourns them all

Victims rage and feel sorry

For an actor that cannot deny

His actions are for fame

And nothing would please him more

To hear his name on the evening news

He doesn’t try to share the blame

A nation recovers and wounds heal

We hear of bravery and strength

And less of cowardly acts

Innocence is the biggest casualty
